Credit Card Processing can be done
in a variety of different ways
|

Credit Card
Processing With Conventional Point of Sale Terminal
If your customer will be presenting his
or her credit card to you for payment then you can process the
credit card charge using a conventional point of sale terminal
by simply swiping the card through the built in reader.
The terminal reader will take the credit card information off
of the magnetic strip on the back of the customers credit card
and load it into memory. You will then be prompted to
enter the sales amount. Then you simply press a button
on the terminal to send the credit card transaction through
for processing. The entire process takes about 3-20
seconds depending on if your credit card terminal is connected
to a telephone line or to an internet broad band connection.

Processing With A Wireless Terminal
If you do business face to face with your customers but not at
a place where you have electrical power and a telephone
connection available, the wireless terminal will let you
process the transaction just like the conventional
point of sale terminal but with no external connections.
If you need to process credit cards at trade shows, flea
markets, on the job site, from a cab, limo or service vehicle
the wireless terminal will allow you the convenience of a
point of sale terminal but without the restrictions, and since
you are actually swiping the card through a reader you will be
entitled to the lowest rates and fees offered (as opposed to
higher keyed-in rates).
