FAQs

What happens if my terminal goes down?

It will be replaced by overnight delivery - free of charge!  Unlike many other companies that charge you for replacing a terminal TMS will replace your terminal for you at no charge and you will not be charged any additional monthly fees for this service!  This extended service plan is to all merchants that purchased their terminal from us, for as long as you have your account with us.

What is a merchant account?

A merchant account is an agreement between you (the merchant) and a processing organization like TMS/Global Payments for the clearing and settlement of credit card transactions. A merchant account is NOT a bank account. It does not carry a balance and you do not deposit or withdraw from it. Some processing companies will require you to setup a bank account with their bank, however TMS does not require this. All funds are directly transferred to your own business checking account.
